What is a Children's Centre?
Children's Centres focus on pregnancy, children under the age of five and their families. Sutton Locality deliver services at New Hall, Holland House and Deanery Children's Centres, Four Oaks Cluster Hub and a range of community venues including Libraries.
Children's Centres can provide information and support relating to many areas such as:
• Early education
• Childcare, including the new 2 year old places
• Family support
• Training and employment services
• Parenting skills
• Child health and development
• Access to financial support & advice
• Activities to improve young children's educational attainment
• Working with parents to help keep children safe
Sutton Locality Children's Centres
From 2012 Children's Centres have been grouped into 16 localities, where Centres will work together and share budgets to provide services across a wider area.
The five Centres in Sutton Locality are:
Four Oaks Children's Centre 323 1121
Bush Babies Children's Centre 354 9230
Deanery Children's Centre 351 5267
Holland House Children's Centre 675 7171
New Hall Children's Centre 464 5170
Opening times and services provided will differ at each Centre. However, the good news is that families can now access services in all Children's Centres in their Locality and not just the nearest to where they live. Staff will be able to work across the whole locality, and parents can be involved in shaping services at individual Centres as well as across the Locality.
